The Virginia University of Oriental Medicine is a newer university that was founded as a clinic in 2004 to educate students and enable them to protect and serve their community.
The school strives to provide unique health care options to patients such as the study of acupuncture and oriental medicine. Their goal is to promote the teaching and benefits of such practices and show how beneficial they can be to patients.
In furthering this goal, the Virginia University of Oriental Medicine offers programs in acupuncture and oriental medicine that can lead to Master of Science degrees. Their program serves its purpose to prepare licensed health care professionals in the Washington, D.C. area.
The Master of Science programs in acupuncture and Oriental Medicine are offered in both the Korean and Chinese language. There are several non-degree programs that are also friendly and accepting of other Eastern dialects.
