Northern Baptist Theological Seminary is located in Lisle, Illinois and first opened its doors in 1913. It was originally backed by the Second Baptist Church of Chicago in order to prepare students to become church leaders.
Northern Baptist is a theologically conservative institute and is a member of the American Baptist Churches of the United States. The school received its accreditation from the Association of Theological Schools in the United States and Canada.
