The Mercy Hospital School of Nursing (MHSN) has been providing nursing courses since its start in 1893. The college is located in Pittsburg, Pennsylvania.
Founded by the Sisters of Mercy, nowadays, MHSN is under the umbrella of UPMC Mercy. MHSN has its campus on the sole faith-based hospital in Pittsburg.
Graduates of MHSN are well-regarded in the region for being a successful professional. Over 6,200 nurses have graduated from the Mercy Hospital School of Nursing.
MHSN earned its nursing accreditation from the State Board of Nursing Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. Additionally, it holds accreditation from the Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing. This accreditation is awarded through 2021.
MHSN’s mission is “to foster the development of an entry-level graduate nurse”. They aim at creating members that are continuously making a positive contribution to their respective healthcare team.
