Citizens School of Nursing

In the Allegheny County of Pennsylvania, the Citizens’ School of Nursing provides a two-year preparation program that helps equip students to take the National Council Licensure Examination for Registered Nurses (NCLEX-RN).
This program includes nearly 1400 hours of nursing theory and practice in a hospital-based setting, so that students are fully prepared for the high-pressure environment in which the Citizens’ School of Nursing will help them excel.
Originally founded in 1913 under the name of Citizens’ General Hospital School of Nursing, the current-day Citizens’ School of Nursing has grown from an original class size of six students to a current enrollment of around two hundred students.
Because of its small class size and hands-on teaching model, the Citizens’ School of Nursing helps students get the experience that they need in a controlled environment, and helps prepare them for their chosen career in a manner that ensures that they will be able to excel and ultimately thrive!
